Have you been experiencing low mood, stress, traumatic events, or challenging life transitions? Are you interested in better understanding how your thoughts and feelings affect your life? Would you like to deepen your sense of self in a meaningful way? Art Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy can help. Beyond talking alone, creative modes of expression offer alternative ways of connecting and communicating with our inner world. From there, they can support the integration of our healing journey into our everyday life.
No art background? No problem. In Art Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy, it’s more about how the experience of creating can support self-exploration. Imagine a state of presence and flow, and becoming curious about the insights that arise there. Your unique wisdom has always been with you; the art is just a way to help you to see it in a new light. When collaborating in sessions together, you are the expert on your experience and I follow your lead. While you explore and express whatever you feel needs to come forward for you at the present moment in your healing journey, I offer you support, encouragement, and invitations for constructive change and transformation.
As an Art Therapist and Expressive Arts Therapist, I’m here to welcome you home to your creative self. And as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I’m also here to support you through collaborative conversation. I draw from my 9+ years of experience in the helping profession as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker, Direct Support Professional, and volunteer with older adults and hospital patients to provide you with person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed support. Feel free to reach out for a free consultation call to get to know one another better, and I can learn how I can best support you!
